Our British made Palsun Polycarbonate sheet is available in array of sheet sizes and thicknesses, and unlike some brands is UV coated to protect against discolouration for up to 10 years, you’ve probably seen plastic panels turned yellow especially in roof lights, and that lack of coating will be exactly why.
Polycarb, often referred to as Lexan is used across a variety of industries including motorsport, industrial and even within riot shields due to it’s high impact strength, 200 times that of plate glass and in areas where fire risk is a consideration due it’s Class 1 fire rating (also available in a Class 0 FR grade).
Available, as with all our plastic sheets, in bulk sheet volume and cut to size panels, typically next day.
Although high in strength, it is naturally easily scratched so this should be considered when selecting the right plastics for your project, although we do offer a hard coating service to give your polycarb glass like surface protection, we suggest you contact us via our website or give us a call and we’ll be happy to advise on what is suitable.
